Pistol Courses

At ManAlone we offer a very wide range of pistol courses, and yes, each one is different.  Not only that, but each time we run a course it morphs a bit and we integrate different drills and quals into the mix.  

There are the core fundamentals, what we call 'the package' and this is universal across every offering, although you will find it increasingly challenging to apply them as you move through the line up.  

Where do you start?  A vast majority of students should begin with Pistol Skill Building 1.  Pistol Skill Building is a  stand alone shooting course series that will impart the skills to allow you to enter our fighting courses with confidence, or you can use them simply to shoot better.  While shooting is an essential skill in the armed encounter, there is way more to it than that.  Most people don't realize the depth of this truth until they get into the advanced courses.  We are working to offer the PSB series more frequently, and we can also teach it on demand to your group or privately.  Many law enforcement departments seek to combine courses with a day of PSB that morphs into a fighting course.  For contract entities whether pro or otherwise, we can do that.  We have great flexibility and a wide range of offerings that we simply can't fit onto the schedule or website.     

If you think you are prepared for the fighting courses, and don't want to take PSB 1, here is a concession that we make for you.  Sign up for PSB 1 and after the first day if we think you are able to move up we will let you know.  If you choose to not attend the second day based on our assessment, we will roll that tuition into your next class.  Some students have proven themselves very early on by taken their CWP training with us.  That remains an option.  We get emails from people asking why they can't just start at the level they want, and if they fail they fail.  There are two reasons for that.  First of all, if you are not prepared then you hold the rest of the class up.  That's just the way it is; we're not going to stand by and not spend time trying to see to your success.  Secondly, the advanced courses are dynamic.  Before we have you moving with a gun, we're going to make sure that you are safe with a gun while stationary.  Well experienced gun pros and agencies come to see us because we have expanded the training experience in directions that they can't get on their official ranges.  That means that you, the average Joe, have also not likely trained in the fluid way that we work.  Safety is a big deal and we will see to the safety of our students even if we turn away some inflated egos in the process.  Safety first, in all that we do.
