there is no stress or fear to equal that of the unprepared...
Tactical Carbine One
Course committment: The purpose of this course is to help the student establish a warrior mindset and fundamental skil set that will allow the student to prevail in an armed encounter. Using core principals, speed will be built, reaction time shortened and accuracy increased. Students who successfully complete the course will be more confident in their preparation for the protection of life and property as well as ready to move on to the next offering in the Tactical Rifle Series. (This course is the carbine prerequisite for Fighting Carbine for Hostile Environments, a specialty course not in the tactical series).
While this course is based on the AR-15/M-16 family of weapons, students have successfully completed it using firearms from the AK family as well as H&K's and M-14's. If you intend to use something other than the AR it would be wise to contact us to discuss the particulars as imposed by your weapon choice (for instance if you are shooting 20 round .308 mags you will need more of them).
Methodology: Through increasing levels of difficulty over multiple repetitions the student will fire approximately 500 rounds per day of training establishing muscle memory and confidence. At times stress will be induced for the student to evaluate his/her proximate reaction in real life. You will find this training to be strenuous. Upon successful completion of this course the student will have a very different view of his/her self defense abilities as well the ability to defend others. Regardless of your level as a shooter,we intend for this training to be stressful at times. That is the only way we know that you have mastered the concepts being taught and in the real world you will default only as high as the highest level you have mastered.
The bulk of the shooting will take place between five and fifty yards (Close Quarters Battle distances). With repeatable success at these distances we will take the student out to 100 and 150 yards to work longer engagement distances. You do not have to be an accomplished long range shooter to prevail at CQB distances and be successful in this course.
