Our Instructors

Other than the head instructor that you have met elsewhere on this website, these fine folks help us get the training to you.  We intend to keep our cadre small, made up of consumate professionals prepared to represent MAT properly with the highest levels of expertise and attitude.  We are not interested in how much business we can do.  We are interested in how well we can do what we do.

'LUCKY'

This is instructor 'Lucky'.  He is an experienced SWAT operator and instructor from an urban area in Virginia.  He has prowess and experience as an entry team assaulter as well as sniper.
Lucky was also a SWAT instructor.
He is a former Blackwater contractor.  He is a graduate of VMI and has a huge stack of Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Certifications, from rangemaster to instructor.  He brings a high level of expertise to the instructional mix and is a vital part of our mobile instruction division.  For those of you in Virginia, we meet VDCJS certification requirements and once the guidelines are set our mobile service will be able to bring the newly required rifle certification course to you.

You will find him working with our larger open enrollment carbine courses as well as mobile contract courses.  He is handy as an AR-15 and Glock armorer as well.

Jerrod

Jerrod serves as an active duty staff sergeant in the United States Marine Corps (Oorah).  He is working his way through our tactical series; he is a fine pistolero and has an absolute gift for handling novices during the range portion of our CWP class.  Unfortunately, we do not always have him, Uncle Sam takes priority.  Here he is seen loading mags during an iteration of the CWP qual so that the shooter can stay focussed on the firing line.

Jerrod is a great guy bringing the latest USMC TTP's with him.  We hope to make him a part of the travelling cadre in 2012.

We believe in providing the most competent, up to date instruction.  Few, very few applicants for instructor will meet our standards for tactical instructor although we will be enlarging our CWP staff.
