Advanced Concealed Carry
This course is designed to aid the CWP holder in dealing with the vagaries in drawing, presenting and fighting with a weapon presented from concealed carry. Given the different body types, carry methods and clothing styles there is a myriad of variables presenting a huge set of problems that have to be solved. All the firepower in the world is useless is you cannot access and apply it.
ACC is a one day course in which the student will shoot approximately 350 rounds, all drawn from concealed carry. The student will work from various methods of carry and several different styles of cover garment (sweater, overshirt, jacket, etc.)
Many people put on a gun daily with no thought of the access and little or no practice presenting the weapon from the carry with what they are wearing. Violence happens fast and if you are caught up trying to acquire your weapon, then you are not going to be able to respond. Reaching for a weapon that you cannot acquire in a timely fashion is more of a liability than an asset and it could get you killed.
This is not a fighting course, but more of a problem solving/practical course. Do not stack the deck in terms of your performance by wearing tactical clothing. Wear real life clothes and let us encounter and solve the restrictions they impose. This course is not designed to be a one day substitute for Tactical Pistol One. TP1 is an essential course for anyone armed with a pistol. Holsterless, inside the waistband carry is not allowed in this or any other ManAloneTactical course.
